Ragged Robin Rare Wildflower Seed

£2.99

Silene flos-cuculi. Other names: crownflower, cuckoo flower

A true classic of British wild flowers, but sadly it’s sight is in decline as Britain’s wild wet habitats continue to disappear. Beautiful starlike pink flowers that can grow in a variety of conditions, but ragged robin really thrives where it’s a bit damp. Previously known as crownflower, ragged robin makes an appearance in Shakespeare’s Hamlet as one on the flowers in Ophelia’s crown. Rare and strikingly beautiful, a jewel just waiting to be added your garden.

How to Plant: Scatter the seeds directly onto bare soil. Clear the area of any debris and lightly rake the soil to create a loose surface.

Seed Revolution is a seed producer based in England, which started as a quest to save Britain’s natural beauty. Our nation’s biodiversity is diminishing at a rate of knots. Without wild flowers we have no bees. With no bees we have no food. No food and we’re all doomed. But the solution is easy, and full of beauty. Grow wild flowers. Save bees. Rescue humanity. Welcome to the revolution.
