From our friends at Winnow Farm Seeds comes Wintersonne, a glowing golden beetroot that brings real sunshine to both garden and plate. This variety forms smooth, globe-shaped roots in a rich, turmeric-yellow shade that holds its colour beautifully, even after cooking. 

Beetroot are famously easy to grow, making them a rewarding crop for beginners and seasoned gardeners alike. Golden varieties like Wintersonne win have a milder, sweeter, and more aromatic flavour than traditional red beetroots and without the earthy intensity.

Sow: April-July, can be sown in modules or direct
Plant: 4 weeks after sowing.
Harvest: June-October
