Butterhead Lettuce 'Roxy'
From our friends at Winnow Farm Seeds comes Roxy, a richly coloured butterhead lettuce that looks as good as it tastes. This dusky red beauty forms satisfying, compact heads, with softly ruffled outer leaves brushed in deep red tones that fade into a fresh, lime-green heart. Tender, buttery, and mild, Roxy is a joy to harvest and eat, whether picked young or allowed to fully head up. Exceptionally reliable, it’s well suited to spring, summer and autumn cropping, and is famously slow to bolt, earning it an RHS Award of Garden Merit for outstanding summer performance.
Sow: Feb-May undercover, May-July outside. Stagger sowings for continuous supply.
Plant: 4-6 weeks after sowing, plant 20cm apart
Harvest: Feb-April
