From our friends at Winnow Farm Seeds comes Groninger, the Brussels sprout variety made for Christmas dinner and beyond. This tried-and-tested, mid-season classic produces dense, beautifully formed green sprouts from November through December, just when you want them most. 

Awarded the prestigious RHS Award of Garden Merit, this variety has been rigorously trialled against many others and proven to be exceptional for both reliability and flavour. Expect that classic sprout taste - earthy with a gentle bitterness that softens as temperatures drop and frost works its magic. Try roasting them until golden and crisp; it’s hands down the best way to enjoy this winter favourite.

  • Sow: March-April (undercover or outside with fleece or cloche)
  • Plant: May, 60cm spacing
  • Harvest: Nov-Dec
