A prolific variety from Bolivia, with soft, hairy green leaves that allow it to thrive in cooler conditions and tolerate temperatures as low as 0C once mature.
Its large purple flowers develop into miniature green pods, which slowly ripen to bright yellow. These fruits are thick walled and intensely juicy, with naturally black seeds.
Perfect for growing outdoors or in an unheated greenhouse, these plants can reach well over a metre tall and wide so will need support.
The pods are mild for a Pubescens variety, with a fruity and citrus aroma. Try them in fruity curries, uchucuta sauce, or crema de rocoto.
